I'm going to be installing a new tunnel this summer on my Tapex, I'm 99% sure I'm going with the VE, how are you guys liking yours? What model are you using (Hill Climb or Boondock)? Pros and cons please!:D

dont' you have a cr tunnel on that sled right now?? why change that if you do??

I do but its creased and welded where the tunnel goes into the upward taper. It is holding up fine but at the end of the day it needs replacing:( My buddie who bought D-Luxs old sled is having the same problem with his CR tunnel so I figure I'll try the VE.

Idk , I just wanted his "latest " design . That happens to be the boondocker . it gets better every year . The boondocker is great for hillclimbing which is what I do.

Ahh I see the "Boondocker" is the latest and greatest. Thanx for the info Tim.:beer;

I had no issues at all loved the tunnel good service and a very nice I would buy it again my only complaint was the logo and he would not make the tunnel without it.:)

my ve 4 seasons & going strong very well built super nice guy to deal with incredible customer service.the only thing i did not like about the tunnel is because it is 2inches deeper fitting your plastic can take some trimming.

I think they are the best there is as far as fit and finish.
What I dont like is the spring snow all over my back. that narrow tail piece doesnt seam to stop any of the flying snow from the track as it throws it at the cooler. I think he should design a tail wing for the spring season.

ok i feel the same way im not sure if you have a 16 wide but by the time i hit the cabin my back is soked and its gay.. but the tunnel is sweet. i did bend it a bit wit a jerry can on the back wich pissed me off.. but i got over that when my sled went off a small cliff....lol. has a bit more bend in it now..

How hard is the routing for the coolant lines to the running boards? Had a boondock on a 900 cat mod and loved the tunnel but was a little tough to get the coolant lines to work good.

Thats the same way my CR tunnel bent from a jerry can:confused: I wonder if their is any brackets or anything you could buy for these A/M tunnels to strengthen them up a bit? Seems pretty silly that they wont even handle a jerry of gas on the back without bending:rolleyes: I know myself I always need more gas at the end of the day and no way I could ride alot of the areas around here without packing in gas!

well they bend right at them holes towards the back of the tunnel.. the new one i put on over the summer will not have them.. and also with stock drop and roll a m-10 susp will not fit.. the rear arm needs a bracket cuz the tunnel drop brackets are a few inches to short..

The issue with the snow on your back is the lack of outside rear wheels this is the cause

Is that because your running the 174" track? Or will I need to modify the tunnel to install my 162 M10?:beer;

well you can see the brackets i had to make for my skid to fit proper.. but the center to center might be diff for a 162 not sure tho.

Thanks for the tips bro, its appreciated.:beer;

Here is mine with an M-10 under it.

If I had to build mine again I would have Mike make the bent up serated foot pieces a bit shorter. Mine are bending down/flat. I would also think of deleting the holes in the back kicked up foot well pc. This is where I think most of the back soaking in the spring comes from. Mine has a 15 wide under it now and it with outside wheels and it still soaks my back.
