Apex front A arm removal?

Need to do some work on the front end of my Apex... never pulled the A-Arms... any suggestions before I start. I see that the front nose piece comes off but how far do you need to dig into the sled. I'm guessing someone is going to say... remove the air box and battery.

Later, Scott

it sucks lol just make sure you dont strip the lock nuts it sucks no room to work, the air box, battery all has to come out its pretty simple just sucks have fun I know I didn't lol

good luck

man that sucks when everything is going great with the impact and a flat wrench when all of the sudden you hear that erie sound of the wrench slippling on the nut...thus wearing all the flats to a round nut.....SON-OF-A.......panic set in and a bunch of dumb ideas until you get the stripped nut off.....bbbbuuuuuttttt thats just one mans opinion...

its easy....when replacing the bolts make sure the bushings stay in...

HaHa... too funny! Yep... removed the airbox and a few other things... the sled is used and one of the nuts were stripped. The one side took a little longer but I got it, now to put it back together. Thanks.:face-icon-small-hap

guys! jeez!

Use hand wrenches and ratchets.

I also found it useful to get a magnet part picker-upper in there to snag the bolt and washer as you retract the pivot bolt.

Also, when freshening the front end, don't forget to order the bushings in the frame as well as the A-arms - saves a trip to the dealer. Ask me how I know...LOL

Not familiar with the Apex but I just finished the front end on my Nytro. Had a heck of a time getting those stupid yamaha locking nuts off. I replace them all with normal nylon locking nuts for the install. I never swore so much in my life getting those things off. I've rebuilt my whole sled and that was the worst part of the whole job. Sorry I don't mean to scare you though!!
