Apex clutch rebuild

Just wondering how often the clutches should be rebuilt......I know it depends on the type of driving.....but how many miles are you going before the clutches need to be rebuilt?....Also the chain case chain, does that need replacing after certain amount of miles on boost?.......Just a few things I was wondering about........Stuck at home and my mind starts to wander....lol

Do not know about the clutches, but I will say this about the chain.

We broke one (the chain) the other day and it tore up several hundred dollars worth of stuff.

Keep it adjusted right.

Been advised to replace it every year if running boost.

I replaced my chain at 4000 km's all under boost, just because, but it didnt need it, chain was like new and barely ever adjusted it. These sleds are truly amazing considering the power they run and the longevity(sp) of the drive system. As far as the clutch, after 3000 or 4000 km's replace the buttons on the secondary, and check the bushings in the primary that the spider moves on, other than that giver sh!t. Oh, i would also replace the springs same time, all springs get weaker and weaker with use. Little break clean and some scotch bright for cleaning.

I usually change the springs every year......I did notice last time I was cleaning the faces of the primary that they are worn wear the belt sits at idle........maybe bad clutching in the past? belt was slipping .......Anyone else notice this?

You will get grooves at the bottom of the primary using the super mega hard 8dn yammie belt. You get a durable belt but it eats away at the shives on the primary clutch.
Check the bushings in all the weights; rollers & moving parts but on a triple 2 stroke & 4 stroke they virtually last forever. the biggie to look for is cracks in the primary clutch faces.

I have been watching it very close......how deep can the grooves get before it needs replacing?
