Apex Belt

Anybody had an Apex belt just let loose and shred itself ?. Lent my buddy the sled for the weekend 07 Apex Mtn SE with 680 miles on it after the weekend. Belt looked brand new when he left. Said he was 5 min out of the trailer screamin' up the trail when the thing let loose and shredded itself, claims it tossed him on his head and split his chin open. Damage to the foam inside the panel and now have a custom bent coolant hose protector plate and clutch card. Said he changed out the belt after the incident and rode about 180 miles without incident for the rest of the weekend. I Checked it when he brought the sled back and no noticeable wear on the new belt, however left chunks of the old belt scattered across the bottom of the panel. What do ya think ?

I got over 3000 kilometers on my boosted apex with the same belt(changing it now)and other boosted sleds are getting more miles.I only kept it on to see how long they would last.Lending it out?your toooooooooo nice.

I have 1200 miles on my apex belt, all boosted miles, but my friend has gone through 5 in 600 miles, but he doesnt clean the clutches when he blows a belt, haha his loss

Maybe cold clutches and cold belt = boom? Did he buy you a new belt? I think your friend should buy his own Tapex!
