Hey,

I have some friends that are living up in Tacoma right now and they just had a baby last August. I was wanting to see if I could fly up for a weekend and see them. The reason why I would like it to be Alaska Airlines is because they fly directly from Billings, MT to Seattle. I would like to go sometime in early Jan. during my winter break from college. Anyone work for Alaska Airlines or know someone who does, and they would like to sell me a buddy pass, please pm me.

I forgot to mention that I would like the ticket to be round trip, I don't know much about buddy passes.

Buddy passes aren't for sale.. It's a pass that allows almost free trips IF the employee travels with you.

SIL works there and I've never gotten one. But I don't like to fly with Elastic Scarelines.

I have some friends (the ones that just had the baby) that worked for Alaska until they got laid off when the company outsourced their jobs. They told me that the employee doesn't have to travel with you. I would be flying in early Jan. The flight from Billings to Seattle isn't usually full.

Buddy passes suck! Dad is a captain for Alaska and I've been stuck many times in the airport. IMO I'd rather pay the extra $100 or so to make sure I have a seat. Billings to SEA what's the cost of that, $250 R/T at the most??

As others have said, the pass's suck!!!! I have had to spend 11 hrs in an airport to get a seat.... You are correct, the emplyee does not have to fly with you. I would loook at tickets, as I don't suspect they will be much. Even with a pass, you still have to pay fees and taxes, which usually end up being 100-150 rt, for another 100 or so i would rather have a guaranteed seat... Also look at southwest, they usually have reasonable tickets.
