Just looking at moto style neck braces and wondering if anyone wears them? I Have a float 30 pack and i'm wondering if it will be in the way? Thanks!

I want to wear mine( leatt ), but on my dirt bikes it sucks when its cold and i need a jacket. They don't work well with a jacket unless it has the leatt cut out ( not many of those avail ). I have a troy lee jacket designed for the brace, but then it sucks so much wind down my neck to my chest its freeeeezing. I have tried wearing it over my jacket, but they just don't fit right like that.
I doubt it would get int he way with a pack. unless your pack rides up crazy high for some reason.

I also would doubt it would be in the way of the pack as i wear a pack when i dirt bike and a leatt brace. But like stated above, they dont work well with a coat. you would need to put it over your coat otherwise you will have a huge opening to let cold air in.
got any pics of how she goes together with the trophy? I picked up one of those this winter, and love how it fits, but really wanting to get into a Leatt brace as i seem to end up head first into things a lot.
I wore my Leatt last year, used my old North Face coat with a hood and it fit fine, put the back of the brace into the hood, didn't feel any bulk and it never bothered me. I have a Motorfist Rekon coat now and I think without a hood it should fit great.
I didn't have any close ups of me riding with it, so I took a picture in the mirror. I just put the collar up so it covers my neck and keeps it warm and it fits really good that way!

set my float 30 off today for something to do and I think a brace would get in the way
I posted this question months ago and I think we all agreed that the brace will get in the way of the float bags. Other airbags with the bag that come out the side won't be an issue. No one that I know of actually set off a float bag with a brace and I would love to see how it works (someone do it and post back) but I think the brace would get in the way.
I've wore my leatt a few times and it worked fine with my hooded jacket and pack but its not an float pack.
If you buy a brace buy a leatt, they are the most adjustable.

My cousin bought an atlas to go snox racing with this year and he swears by it. He has used it on his ATV a few times. I'll have one here by Christmas time and think it will work with a coat with no problems. They seem to be one of thr most different braces out there, but if theyre good enough for cory Davis and turcotte theyre good enough for me!

So the BCA rep came in to talk to us today at my work and I asked him about the whole neck brace thing, he says he hasn't personally seen anyone try one with a bag and blow it off but he says there should be absolutely no issues with wearing one, it might push your head forward and inch or so but in the end will not actually effect the performance of the bag, maybe just make it slightly uncomfortable.
well shoot, i better just go buy one, throw my pack on and test fire it since we got the tanks and parts to refill at the shop.. simple as that!!

to the op, they (leatt) makes a snowmobile specific neck brace i think its just supposed to not freeze up and have snow and ice stick to it. but maybe it has more cold protection for you neck??? might be worth looking into.
