wifes working christmas day and i need to get out and ride. anybody interested in headin to RE for the day. i have never ridden there so am looking for someone that knows the area. let me know, i'll drive.

I live up that way. I am working on it. Just gotta keep hounding the wife and let her know how miserable I will be at her parents. So let me go or watch me consume some Crown and Coke and pass out.

wow! thats exactly what i do when i have to spend it doing something completely boring, i just thought it was a tradition.

It may very well become one. I did that very same thing on Thanksgiving and guess what? All was peaceful. No fighting, nagging, arguing, etc. When family comes to my house, all I ask is that you respect everybody. If folks are sitting around trying to listen and watch the game, COOL. It's not cool to drag loud and annoying converstaions into the game viewing area. It seems that this offends my Mother in Law. I don't know why. So I cook the bird, eat a great pile of it, drink one moderate C&C and peacefully fall asleep. That was the most memorable Thanksgiving ever! Their house is different though, it's small and they like to keep it a balmy 80°f. Her dad loves watching those old black and whites, which quite frankley don't do anything for me or the kids. I'm happy just chilling and watching SpongeBob and having the children not cry about being bored. My wife knows that it's deadly boring there but she believes that she is obligated to go there every Christmas.

My parents have it figured out. My mom goes to my sister's and mt Dad goes to Central City.

I'd much rather stay at my house, watch the boys open the stuff from us and Santa and then carry on the rest of the day as normal can allow. And if I could get out and ride (which I find calming and peaceful) then AWESOME. :face-icon-small-hap

Priceless!

Ain't it?

Xmas ride at Snowies

Dobie and All,

The snow on Rabbit Ears / Buff is awesome this year. I already have 5 days in there and they have all been pretty epic.

I will be riding the Snowies for Xmas. I did my first ride at the Snowies this year the second weekend of Novemeber and the snow was good so it should be great by now. I am staying at the Albany Lodge Friday and Saturday night. If you make it there you are free to ride with us.
