Came across a pretty disturbing story this morning, I called up the local news channel and got them to do a quick story on the scenario. I've got it set up with the local SPCA so any donations made I'll match until we get the needed funding to fix him up for a new home:)

Any donations can be made through Penny at the Victoria SPCA 250-388-7722.

There's an embedded video the news story here:

Thx,

I just do not understand how people cannot take responsibility for their pets. Our dog probably has it better than our kids and regardless of the cost I would do what it took to take care of her and get her the help she needed and if I could not afford it, I would find some way to make it happen. How can you wait a month and not seek any care? Healthcare is pretty much free there, spend the money on your dog. I hope they find them guilty and break both their legs and not give them any care, even if it is free. I am sure if they send them to jail, that could be arranged.

So I am off on Friday and will call. Do they take credit cards? We need to use that credit balance on our RBC card.

I know, humans can get resources to fix themselves, animals not so much, disgusting to let them suffer!!

Yes they do take CC's, and thanks so much for opting to call:face-icon-small-hap

"Buddy" gets his custom plates for his legs delivered some time next week and surgery immediately following. I went and spent some time with him today, what a great dog, he lifted his splint to shake a paw when he met me lol. I also saw the pictures of his legs from when he arrived, made me sick to my stomach. I'll provide another link tonight for updates.
