Anyone using dirtbike handlebars?

ive seen some local guys running various brands of moto bars. does anyone on here? wat are the advantages you found? like them? looking for some info...
thanks

Yes, I run a set of FLY bars. Advantages - strong, light and there are a variety of bends and sizes (width and height) available to suit your personal preferences. I also like the center brace between the bars. I have bent more than one set of OEM bars just from sidehilling and pulling it up on one ski.

I used a set of Pro-Taper bars on my Rev in '06. I've since gone back to the '07 style Rev X bars. I found the Pro-Tapers much wider (can be cut down depending on your switches), and since they are aluminum, they robbed ALL the heat from the bar warmers. I really liked the feel of them (as I ride bikes too), but I'm happier with steel bars. I still have a couple friends that ride with Pro-Tapers and love them. I'm a wimp...I like my bar warmers...

interesting about the robbing of heat. i wouldnt have thought of that. did you keep the rubber loop off of your original bar when you used the pro-tapers?

I run pro taper - klx mini bend - I like that they are narrower than stock and that they have about 3" of rise built in. The bad part is that they do rob heat. I have sprayed insulating foam in mine and that did help a little. I also like the crossbar. I have seen numerous stock steel bars bend. I used to race moto x and these bars are just right for me. I do run the mountain strap.

We manufacture Tapered Aluminum and Chromoly handlebars specifically for snowmobiles. We have Chromoly, Tapered Aluminum, and Carbon Fiber Wraped Tapered Aluminum materials. The Carbon wrap bars allow the grip heaters to get hotter than a traditional aluminum handlebar. All of our bars can be cut for the width that you desire.

We just left West Yellowstone for the WPSA national and earned 4 podiums with our handlebar sytems.

Watch for us at Winter X-Games 12 in Aspen when we dominate the handlebar arena with our riders going for gold.

I run the stock steel cr high bend bars. taller and a bit straighter than the Poo edge rmk bars. I cut 3 inches out of the center and welded them back together

I kept the rubber loop, but it made it much shallower, and I took my bar ends to work with me and had my machinist spin the inserts down to fit the pro tapers. I also have a set of Fly freestyle bars with a 5" rise, but the stock Doo controls and grips didn't all fit.
