PM product tester (shane stainger, with twisted Turbos)

He pulls an enclosed with a sled deck. on his 3500 dually duramax. Works pretty good.

How long is your tongue on the enclosed?

we are looking at doing that also, but the only way it will work for us is by needing a hitch extension

I added a hitch extension to be able to put one in the box of the truck. So i would assume with a hitch extension it will work to have a deck.

The tounge on my trailer is really short, but im thinking if i go with a 12" tounge extension it should be fine. If i put the rear of both sleds towards the center of the deck, or nose of the trailer, then i shouldnt have to worry about them hitting. does anyone have any pics of this setup by chance?
thanks for the replies guys!!!

I do the same thing all the time. There is a company in Auburn Washington that make and sells Super Hitch. You actually change your reciever to thier double tube recieve hitch. They make extensions as long as 42inches, this is measured from the new truck reciever hitch. That length, added with the hitch and ball and your perty close to 50inches out. They were originally built for the truck/camper people that haul horses. Lots of tounge weight but they needed more distance out back to compensate for the larger campers that overhang. So along comes the Super Hitch. With weight distr. setup, I have a 15,000 lbs. draw and a 1500lbs tounge weight. And I can take my truck and jack knife my trailer and still have another 2ft of clearence. I can off load my ramp and my sled without any issues.

Good luck

I also haul a trailer and Sled deck with sleds on it.
It depends on your tongue length of the enclosed trailer. Our Cargomate had a short tongue and needed an extension, the Triton Prestige has a long tongue from the factory and I can haul a pair of 163" long tracks on the deck with room to spare:D
