looking to resurface my garage floor.. looks like the the most inexpensive route will be concrete stain.. question is, do you have to use an acid prior to applying the stain???

Sorry no real secrets. I just gave him a number of a friend of mine up here in WA that works with it. Just call Smokey Point Concrete 360-435-5791 ask for Scott. He knows and sell many products for re-surfacing and staining. Some really cool stuff for garages, porches and even re-surfaced his kitchen floors in stained cement product over top of vinyl. Don't know what you can do for existing concrete but I have re-done my shop with a re-surface that you can add just about any color. We had to use acid only for etching the existing concrete otherwise the new layer won't bond.
I found used oil stains concrete very efficiently. And best part, no prep work needed!
