Anyone running the SLP Pipe/Can on their D6?

I'm currently looking to add the SLP pipe/can combo to my 2009 600 RMK. SLP Says that their is no ECU modification required only clutching but that doesn't right because wouldn't the pipe make you run lean?

Is anyone currently running the pipe/can combo with the suggested clutch modifications with out any issues? I understand i would have to run lighter weights at higher elevations. I Ride in the prairies as well as in the mountains a few times a season so I'm looking to see if i can run the pipe and can safely year round with out any issues.

Current modifications to my 2009 D6 are in my signature.

All input would be appreciated

Thanks for reading guys

I put it on my 600 cfi4

Didn't had to remap or anything

Had to add 2 Grams of weight in primary though..

It rips now!

thanks for the reply

Do you only ride it in higher elevations? any lower altitude experiences?
I need to know if i can safely run the pipe/can in the prairies

added two grams at high or low elevation?

I guess my 09 is considered a CFI 2 because its a 2 injector engine?

Im looking to swap my mbrp can for the slp pipe/can combo
with v-force reeds, slp intakes and no other engine modifications

any others running the pipe/can on their d6?
SLP shows clutching recommendations for all
altitudes but I'm just looking to hear other
experiences with the setup

Thanks!

These run rich stock, the pipe will clean it up. And yes, clutching needs to be adjusted in ALL elevations, 2g throughout.

Well i picked up the pipe/can combo as well as clutching for a great price from my local shop so i will let everyone know how it goes this weekend!

Hey Dave do your friends have issues under 2000 feet?

My home city is at 1580 ft and I ride from there up

Only issue your going to have is Over reving if you don't add 2 grams of weight!!!

I ride at 1200 ft pulling 64's!

also at 10,000 ft!! pulling 56's

I have changed weights as SLP recommends so I will have to see where I'm revving to this weekend and adjust accordingly

I'm going to be running normal team weights 3 grams lighter than they suggest in the mtx's. This weekend i will be riding at low elevation approximately 1600 feet so i am going to run 68's and expect to rev to 8200-8300

Had it out on the frozen lake today with about 4-5 inches of snow and did some passes just to ensure the clutching is spot on. I was reving to exactly 8100 so I'm pretty happy with the RPM. I could swap the 58's for 57's just to rev to 8250.

The SLP pipe/can was no where near as loud as just the MBRP can(1200 miles) but i definitely didn't mind the change in tones. The combination of the bighorn intake with the pipe/can made a noticeable difference in the 50-100% throttle range and made the sled a blast to ride today! I'm looking forward to taking it out Saturday and Sunday and put it up against some of the other machines I'll be riding with as well as riding it in some different snow conditions.
