anyone running a 250f?

You'll have a blast. Power isn't everything. And at see level, you very well may be at the power level of a 450 at 10,000 feet. 3% hp loss per 1,000 feet of elevation is the rule of thumb so at 10,000feet, a 30% power loss on a 50hp 450cc drops it to 35hp up high (with no boost).

Oh, just don't compare yourself to sleds on those lake crossings. :face-icon-small-ton

I'm running a YZ250F in the mountains at 8-9k feet. Definitely could use more power when doing some climbing in the powder, but for flat stuff you will love it.

I am converting my Honda 250f still waiting on rideable snow
terrain will consist of lake crossings and single track with 400' elevations

We've got one of our kits on a 250F as well and it is pretty snappy. The loose track tension gives it a little power boost, but even with the Timbersled, you'll surely have a good time. If you're doing a lot of lake crossing and low elevation riding you're definitely going to want to gear it a little higher. Our 250 has a top speed of only around 45 mph, but we kept the stock gearing so we'd have more power in the powder.
