Rabbit Ears

:D:DHowdy, we rode thurs 12/18, fri 12/19 and sat 12/20 powder everywhere. Sorry no pics to busy riding forgot phone and camera. Still some
whammies that will get ya. But be a little careful you'll be fine. Snowing & blowing both thurs & sat. Did notice a groomed trail but no trail markers yet.
Base is pretty well set up. Trees & meadows loaded with snow. Hills a little sketchy. Have fun, we had a blast. A great big thanks to Donovan & Don Facy at Xtreme Performance for the rides on the 2009 sleds, those sleds rip as always.

Could anyone tell me the best area or off of which trail I could find the best backcountry riding on the ears? Looking for connecting meadows away from the trail. Somewhere we could ride most of the day without seeing a trail. Thanks

rode sat. on the ears. Some good snow, some blown snow and some land mines around. Definatly close to not needing to worry about off trail. We rode nice pow all day and never saw anyone despite the lots being full. definatly lots of pow to be had just keep an eye out for what I call "natural jumps" that usually means rock or stump.

Rode yesterday. Found some good stashes and it was a bluebird day!:confused: You still have to be careful but we are supposed to get more snow this week and it's snowing right now. The snow was windblown so it wasn't fluffy like we like it but still pretty good.

Did I mention that it is snowing now? There is a Winter Storm warning in effect, they say we are to "expect" 8-18" of new by the end of Tuesday.

We rode sat and sun. There is a little less than 5' on the stake at buff pass. We rode untracked both day and only found a few rocks.
