Anyone ran the slp pipe on the 600 Pro.

I have a 2013 600 pro with a PA head that runs great but I have been thinking about installing the slp pipe. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the pipe on the 600 pro rmk. Don't want to waste my money on very little gains especially when it costs a 1,000 for the pipe and control box.

Would love to buy one with out there can, I like a little noise and save all the weight I can. I'm pretty shure they won't sell it without the can.

Spi makes a pipe for the 600 motor also. But I owned one of there pipes on a 600 etec and it gained nothing.

If you look on slp website, the pipe is good for 6 hp and a set of v force reeds and a additional air horn, in the lower airbox is worth 3 hp.

You can buy a set of reeds new in the swap meet for $150.00 and the air horn for $15.00 from slp, for a cheap hp bump.

Question is do the vforce reeds hold up better in the 600 than the 800.

problem is do you spend 1000 for a pipe and controller or 1500 for the Carl's or pa 660 kit. Carl's claims that the slp pipe is not worth it on the 660 kit so if I go that route I would stay stock pipe. I think I will save another 500 and go 660 for 10-15 hp instead of a 6hp gain.

From what I hear carls 660 is as reliable as stock. I already have brads head from PA so I am kind of leaning towards his 660 kit. They use a stock 700 piston so reliability does not go down.

good to know..... Whats one of Brad's 660 kits cost? I cant find them on the site

It all depends on how far you want to go. He can do a standard 660 where he just modifies the cylinders and head or for even more power he will port the cases as well. He also offers the slp pipe with his kit. I have heard his 660 is a real runner.
