Anyone own a turbo nytro and XP, mountain riders

I am thinking about picking up a used turbo nytro and need some opinions on them. I currently ride an XP 154" and love the chassis, I ride in Idaho in some tight areas with alot of trees and the deepest snow we can find.
I have never ridden even a stock Nytro but the HP of the turbo and 4 stroke reliability are looking good.
What are the goods, bads, etc. Hopefully there are a few riders out there that have both of these sleds.

I don't have a turbo but i do have a nytro with a timbersled skid with a 162 powerclaw and a timbersled front end with floats and no swaybar, and a hartman clutch kit. My brother has a 08 154 XP X package and i think the two sleds are very comparable when they are moving. When the nyro gets stuck it is say harder to roll over than the xp but i really enjoy the nytro more than his xp. They both have there place but i am sticking with my nytro and hoping to afford boost or maybee just some nitrous when i need it. I did ride a nytro with a impulse turbo and a 174 last year and it was crazy!!! That thing spooled instantly and was insane. I could definatly notice the 174 felt longer and didn't tip over compared to my 162 but the turbo was sweet! I want boost!!!!

I have both....a 162 MCX nytro and a 154 everest as our second sled that my wife rides or we take on big trips for a back up sled. We ride in the SW corner of BC with a ton of tree riding. I'm so happy with my nytro this will be the 3rd season on it. I have never rode a sled for 3 yrs ever! Ya its heavier but I can ride it anywhere the XP's go....I love my nytro and dont think I could ever go back to a 2 stroke full time:eek:

I was in the same situation as you and bought a MCX T-Nytro earlier this summer and sold my XP 154X yesterday. I loved my XP for boondocking but after riding a few different turbo sleds last season I just could not stay on the XP for another season. I almost went with an 860BB but was concerned about reliability. Riding here in BC I have seen way too many 2 strokes being choppered off the mountain, including me on more than one occasion. T-Nytro seems to have the power and reliability....what more can you ask for?

Nytro vs XP

As you can see I don't live in the mt's but I have owned both sleds. I ride out west every chance I get and one of many advantages I believe the TNytro has over the xp is the vitually total absense of trouble with the Nytro. No clutching issues, no belt issues, no........well you get the drift.
In stock form you will not like the Nytro but with boost.......
Can't imagine you will want to take the 154 out of the trailer as long as the Nytro has 2 good cylinders.

I'm the same as Thistle...I have both and use the XP for a spare on long trips and the wifey rides it too. I hadn't ridden the XP for quite a while - but when I blew a rear shock in my M-10 on my T-Nytro last season, I decided to take it out one day. To make a long story short...I no longer even enjoy riding the XP. I can do everything and more on my T-Nytro:D

What he said times x3. Love to ride my Nytro. Much more fun than the XP.

Most people seem to have a hard time getting used to riding the XP. Once they do, they love it. I have not riden a Nytro, but love my XP. I hear that the XP and Nytro are similar to ride. Those that have both, is that true?

Have an 860 XP and looking at a nytro turbo.

1st pick for me is my TNytro.
I have rode the xp a few times and don't like it at all. Love the weight of it though.
I have also rode the polaris dragon alot and that sled feels the closest to a yamaha.

Yes, both handle very similar however the Nytro is easier to pull over.

I have to disagree with you. I think the XP is very easy to pull over..

I'll second that! I never had any problems getting "used" to my XP and I cannot figure out what people are talking about. I have not rode my own T-Nytro yet but the Nytro sleds that I rode last winter were easy to pull over as well....just not as easy as my XP.

nytro vs xp

well i am in the middle on that i think the nytro is easer to lay over but the xp feels like it falls over to a certain point and stays there were my nytro is so easy to pull over that i find my self laying in the snow when i try to hard. JMO

But the boost make me smile :D
