Looking at the Best Friends Animal Shelter and wondering if it is as good as it appears?
Wanting to help out an outfit like this as long as there is not a hidden agenda (like PETA).
Anyway, if one of you can vouch for this organization?

I visited them before a couple years ago while working in the area. The shelter is amazing. I am planning a vacation in the spring with the motorbikes, and have set aside 1 day to visit/volunteer.
They are a kick a$$ orginization.
When there are disasters around the lower 48, they load up a giant trailer full of food, blankets, medicine, etc... and head out to help the animals that are often overlooked.
I know they got some or all of the Michael Vick dogs.
I remember right after hurricane katrina, they did some pretty amazing things.
I only donate to a select few orginizations, and they are one of them.

If you are giving a pet this season, PLEASE, at least visit a local animal shelter before buying one elsewhere. You truly are giving a pet a new chance at life when getting it from a shelter.
