saw my buddy grapeape's (tard on sw) apex with the guage relocated to the riser front was wondering if anyone has done this on a nytro? i have seen yamaha even offers this for the phazers. the guages seem to be the same, wonder if it would work on the nytro?

i have a very hard time reading mine when checking clutching rpms ect... would be nice to have the apex pod with the big sweeping tach but, beggars cant be choosers. if the guage would be in the vision area either in front of or rear of the riser, i think it would be more readable and useable. ski

it is hard to read with its local and the small digits, also always being covered in snow. i like the phazer mount but it wouldnt have a chance at survival. i would bust it off with it in the front. oh then rolling the sled, no way.

the phazer bracket works good for the relocate you just have to lengthen the wires to the gauge. the gauge is tougher than you think, i just pulled an endo maneuver on my sled landed on the steering stem and gauge , which bent the steering hoop down till it was pushing into the gas tank. It pushed it down so far that it totaled the radiator and fan. The gauge housing has some scratches and some gouges but still works fine and didn’t break the case.

i had mine on the front of my riser first time out this weekend rolled my nytro 3 times gauge broke all to s#&% im building a gaurd around mine this time the cheapest i found a gauge new is $205

well i guess i was lucky?? but not really since it was two weeks ago today and it still hurts when i laugh....ouch! and the sleds estimate for damage was 5800 so im think'n not!
but cant complain about state farm got my check and its all good! and that rumor about turbos and getting cancelled not so with me...the adjuster thought it was cool! he was a snowmobiler!

all the guys i ride with have the same setup as thistledoo. works good and dont usualy come off unless the sled roles bad in hard snow....expensive guage tho..

can you guys get a closer set of pics for the guage mount like thistles? what do i need to do this? thanks for the help in advance.

had some issues outwest (self inflicted), mtdream helped us out BIGTIME! (thanks again mt) so now i need to fix my front end (again), and update the track and drivers, and get over this cold. ski

I have mine on the bottom side of the bars all last year and didn't ever have a problem. Had to make extend the wiring up though. Chad has the brackets to mount these then just tap into the riser to mount.
