anyone make a steering post relocation kit?

i really like a forward riding position, and i have my risers pivoted a lot in order to have my bars where i like them. the only problem is that with so much pivot i find it feels weak in terms of holding me back whenever i have a bit of an impact in the front. eg. landing jumps on steep downhills and unexpected bumps.
in fact, recently i landed in a bit of a hole after a jump, folded the bars forward, flipped over the front of the sled, and got pinned underneath it. (see pic) the deceleration was fairly abrupt, but i should have been able to hold myself back and ride it out.

locktite isn't doing the trick, so i figure i need to reduce my pivot angle. i have an idea on how to try relocating the steering post to in front of the bar that loops up from the bulkhead and supports the underside of the tank plastic and hood. (right now its behind that loop)

just wondering if anyone has tried this, or if anyone is already producing something like this. if i get the time, and it works out, i'll post pics of the results.

gee thanks you're a great help. obviously you like catwalking everywhere you go. i like rider forward, but i don't like my sled to feel like i'm wrapping my legs around a friggin horse. i also like my belts to last more than a couple rides.

A guy was on here this spring had done a snopro style steering post on a CF7 that turned out well. I thoguht about doing it, but don't want to have to do it to every sled I buy. Can't remember how involved it was but it looked like a good setup.

In the movie "Forecast" Look at the Tapio bros. steering post. It goes over the motor like the older Sno Pros did. Find out what their running and their you have your answer...

i do like the idea of the solid base mount on those ole's, but i'm not quite sure if that is far enough forward. plus they would have to be much higher. here are some pics of how i have it set up now.

thanks for the links guys. i do really like the idea of the post going over the motor. looks like the steering angles would be much better. however, i'm not a fan of the massive hole you have to cut in the hood for the post and post bushing. i was thinking of keeping the bottom of the post in the same location, and moving the top of the post out. i would still have to cut a hole in the hood, but nothing like what this other guy had to do. i'll have to take another look and see if i can't figure out a way to have the best of both worlds.

In an M7 I think you can put the steering column in front of the arch that supports it. Just switch the clamp holding the steering post to the front of the arch and reattach the steering post. I looked at doing this to my M1000 but it would hit the rear spark plug, as you only have 2 plugs you should have enough clearance.
