Anyone machine parts? How bout a 1.25" to .75" keyed shaft reducer??

How hard would it be to machine out of aluminum an adapter/reducer to fit onto a 1.25" keyed shaft and the other end be a .75" keyed shaft. It's for a briggs and stratton engine BTW.

You would think I could find something like this but have searched all over he net to no avail.

Any ideas??

Aluminum probably wouldn't be a good choice for a pto adapter/coupler.

http://www.mcmaster.com carries Shaft Collars, step up adapters and step down adapters. They probably have something close to what you need.

it is called a step keyway and there easy to make,i made one for my bobcat on my mill in my shop.send me what you need and i'll make it.
