Anyone know "modman900", aka Jess Cole?

Does anyone personally know "modman900"? His real name is Jess Cole and he lives in Danvers, MA. At the beginning of December he contacted me about trading his Powder Pro skis for the SlyDog skis I had posted on here for sale. My brother was looking for a set of Powder Pros, so we made a deal for a straight across trade where I paid shipping both ways. His skis were supposedly brand new and mine were used, so I thought that sounded more than fair. The terms of the trade were his idea, not mine. He just asked that I ship mine to him first and he would then use my box to ship his back to me.

I shipped mine out right away and on 12-13-2011 he PMed me, "got them this am. i will take them down and see how much to send. i will give you my paypal..... 978 335 3157 any ? call me." He told me it would be $26 for shipping, so I PayPaled him the money.

After a week I PMed him a couple times asking for the tracking number. No response, so I PMed again, asked him if he was going to screw me over, and told him I was getting ready to start flaming him on SnoWest. That finally got a reply on 12-22-2011 of, "No my bad, hit mail Monday....... I will give you track confirm number when I get home , sorry."

Since then he hasn't replied to multiple PMs asking for the tracking number and won't answer his phone either. So right now I am out a set of skis and $52 dollars for shipping.

After searching his user name I find I am not the first one that has had trouble with him. I just wish I had seen these posts before making the deal.

The sad thing is that it doesn't help really, in the grand scheme of things, to just run to butterface bastages off. They need to be held accountable so they don't do it again.

Buuuut, no, they just go somewhere else and do it to other people.

Like Trader01 from New York (Ryan Yarrow and Jamie Finn). They just set up shop in the next town and do it again. Always on the move.

01ZRTCAT, a friend of his, sent me a PM saying he seen them being shipped and that they are in the mail. I still haven't been contacted at all by "modman900" and haven't received a tracking number, so we will see if they show up. I will give it another week and then I will contact the police and see what they can do about it.

I'll post on here if they show up.

Glad i got a private message to read this thread about Jess Cole,,he screwed me over for $225.00 for a boss seat i bought from him but never recieved seat,,was reading all the negative talk about this clown and i'am gonna see if i can get into contact with the law in is area inregards to stealing my money to,,..Thanks

I was out of town for business last week, but the skis did finally show up last Wednesday. The return address was from someone other than modman900. I am guessing it was 01ZRTCAT that shipped out the skis. Thanks 01ZRTCAT or whoever sent out the skis.

I have received a couple PMs from modman900 saying that I screwed him because the skis I sent him did not have carbides on the skags and the shipping cost more than I paid him. He says he lost out on this deal. To this I have several comments:

1. modman900 contacted me and asked about trading after seeing the ad for my Slydogs that I posted on here. I did not ask him to trade.

2. The terms of the trade were modman900's idea, not mine. He suggested the straight across trade with me paying the shipping both ways.

3. He is right, my skis do not have carbides. My ad stated, "Skags have been doubled up. See pic." I provided hi-res photos of the skis and skags showing exactly what they came with. My ski ad. We don't need carbides where I ride and all they do for us is tear up trailers. I never even saw a photo of his skis and shipped mine to him completely on faith.

4. I paid him the exact amount he requested for shipping. Which was the same amount it cost me to ship my skis to him. That was shipping them USPS parcel post with delivery confirmation. When the skis showed up they had been shipped FedEx and admittedly that probably did cost a little more. He received my skis on Dec. 13th and I didn't receive his until Jan. 11th. If it hadn't taken almost a month to get the skis I would probably pay him the difference for the faster shipping. Since I was without skis for a month I don't feel I owe him.

So, the deal is done. Thanks modman900 and I hope your future dealings go smoother.

The extra I paid to ship out.... I lost out 65 for carbides and another 15 to ship... And you got BRAND NEW skis......oh yeah p.s. I bought 2 sleds over 5000 sent in mail this year... Guess what the king cat I got from here was "mint" needed two cyl two pistons two bottom bearings ....... So you want to complain about it go ahead fact is we did thus around the holidays.... Stuff don't move to fast than .... It was 6-7 days after I got your beat **** skis I sent mine out.... I should if just sent them back but I did not ......
