Anyone into 55-56 Chevy Gassers

Couple of pics of a project my Dad and I were working on back in Minnesota. Found an old Rust bucket 55 hard top and figured why not. Trying to make a clone gasser from the sixties. In the second pic its under the gasser frame we found. Wondering if anyone else has one or has any pictures of them to share. I fell in love with the gasser era cars and really miss working on this one.

I would LOVE to build a gasser, that's a nice start! What's the drivetrain gonna look like? If it were me, 409 W block with a tunnelram and a Muncie M21, well, maybe a 283 and a 'glide, ah... sounds like a ton of fun either way!

BTW- is it getting a role cage? Depending on powerplant, you might need to look at stiffening up the car if you want her to launch right!

Picked up a 327 Block and proabaly gonna build off that, keep it in the era. And yes were gonna put a stick in it for sure. Possible roll cage as well, just getting ideas for now.
