Anyone interested in custom tunnel coolers?

I have been building coolers for years for CMX and see a demand for custom sized coolers for the snowbike. They will be made with a much more efficient and lighter weight material. Let me know if anyone has any interest. Thanks

I think there will be quite a bit of interest provided the product is either cost competitive to using a sled cooler or is a whole lot more trick to justify extra expense.

be cool

I'm running exchangers on both my bikes with no radiators, works killer, so consistent. Scratchers are a must if the trail is frozen. I have a couple friends who are interested after seeing my setup. for example at the top of a long climb I was at 180(f) at the bottom and top. my friend was at 140 at the bottom and 230 at the top with rads on a ktm 500 fan howling. I also run my engine fully enclosed, it always runs 180. before I was always opening and closing the shroud depending on the conditions (trail, pow, climbing , trail again, so annoying! The only downfall I can see is in spring if u have to ride a mile or two of dirt, in that situation I can see buying a 2 dollar bag of ice at the gas station and running the bike from a dead cold start. then stop and use the ice a time or two to cool her down. I know what about the hyfax? dish soap! The hardest part is the plumbing and the cap and bottle setup, I made my own with parts I had around, but most guys will want to purchase all that stuff with the coolers. Also a thermo setup is critical or the bike will run cold all the time, I run the avid works great, I hear the thermo bob 3 is great as well. are u thinking of offering a complete package or just the coolers?
Keep us posted!

For now just looking to build coolers based on what you guys think will work best the extrusion is extremely efficient and lightweight so I don't think the cooler will be to large but I will base the core on what the customer wants as some still run radiators and some don't. How big is your cooler?

too big, bigger than they need to be in most situations. Although I'd rather be a touch big than maxed out all the time. one is 6"x16" and one is 9"x15"

Keep in mind his is a 14 so there is more clearance to work with

I would be possibly interested if price was reasonable. Would like to install a thermostat and tunnel cooler on the bike I am getting ready for next year.

Bike cooler

I run a an old skidoo cooler, last year on a stock yz450 with ktm thermostat, ran to cold, this year went back to rads and thermobob and KMS turbo, hot on trail cold in powder. Went back to cooler, enclosed engine totally with bubble wrap, now consistent 165-180f, only time it got pretty hot was on trail without scratchers. I wouldn't go back to radiators, cooler is the way to go.
