Just got back from my first trip with the pro and really happy with my decision but I ended up with quite a bit of snow in the engine compartment. On my M8 I had frogskinz over the hood vents and never had snow in the engine compartment. I see they make a set for the pro ride chassis but was wondering if anyone had a picture of a set installed on the pro ride.

No pictures but I have a set of Skinz on my 2011, I put them on the outside, on the hood over the vents, that was before I saw that someone else had removed the vents from under the hood, wrapped the skin around the vent before putting them back under the hood. Much cleaner install.

Ran them on the 11 and now on my 13. Love them. Add the SLP nose pan block off also. Oh, don't forget the Mod Rodz footwell block offs too. I have no issues with snow in my hood area.

Had the frogskin kits since my 11 was new, extra venting, too, and zero snow comes in the vents when in the deep. Sled does get thawed frequently in a heated garage or trailer.

This is my third season with frogskinz and i would recommend everyone to have them, no more cold snow that could end up in the clutch.

I think the critical ones are the side panel upper vents - especially the clutch side. The Frogzskin vent kit for those two is only $25 (part no. F0124) and it's foolish NOT to get if you ask me. I feel I was getting more snow in the clutch area from that than I was from the footwells that everyone is touting so much! You just remove the vent grilles and the install is very clean as you can see in my pic.

Have FUN!

Maybe I did mine wrong. I removed the vent grill and applied to it and re-attached to side panel. Felt is was stronger that way. Now you got me thinking....and that is a dangerous thing.

I had a discussion with Mountain Horse on thekit for the hood and we agreed that with added venting, there should be no problem but they do slightly restrict the air going in the hood. I added HRP venting to cowl and to the front lower edge of the side panels. I have had no problems with belts getting too. I do stop though and wipe the snow off every once in a while. Oh, I also have the WRP gauge lifter so a lot of heat comes out of there too.

yes take the vent out place skin over vent & replace . Very nice way to go. I even put black tape over the head light adj. knob, so no snow can get in there. I went with Mike Taylor foot well covers.

Thank you everyone that is exactly what I wanted to know about wrapping them around the vents first then reinstalling. The one picture i had seen they were attached to the hood and didn't like the way that looked.
