ANYONE HIT A POWERVALVE WITH AN 800 PISTON?

just wondering if this is a problem with the 800's as mine only has aprox 2000 on new topend and lwr but they probably reused power valves and reeds as reeds are open on all center ones (4) total both cyls, i have been rough on this motor all year use good oil (polaris semi) (probably the problem lol.) switching to amsoil after i rebuild it, ever suck sumthing thru the aircleaner? we did go thru 1/2 mile of gravel yesterday. any help appreciated, oh ya it started not wanting to idle, changed plugs and continued nailed it a bunch heading back about 8 mi. ran good 1/3 throttle and above plugs both looked good rave spring started backing out and some oil leaking outta r/h ex. cyl and piston shot and i gotta buy new power valves and reeds for shure as i won't use old again. better ones avail or better?

I wouldn't see any reason to replace the raves...I'm not following you on the center of the reeds being open either, open as in missing peddles?

Stock reeds with a 1/4" spacer will give you more power than any aftermarket reeds.

the stock ones or aftermarket have about .030 gap on 2 of the center ones both cyls none missing probably old about 6500 kilo. the piston ring looks like it hit power valve,wisco pistons double ring about 1500 mi on them. thanks

What year 800? Is this an 800R or 800HO?

I don't believe seizeco make an 800r piston...idk, sounds like another wiseco horror story and another reason not to use them in a doo...still not following you on the reeds, but I would replace ever peddles with that kind of use

yes 04 800 ho and reeds not closing all the way (just center ones and the ends have about .03 gap.
