Anyone here from Watertown SD?

Just started school school at LATI for Machine Tool a couple days ago and was curious if anyone else calls Watertown home or even goes to school here?

I see your hometown is Canistota, Powder Pro. I did some linework out there last summer for a few weeks. Are you Amish? :D

Folger, have you ever seen an amish sledder? Me either haha no I live on a farm just to the east of canistota. So were you one of the guys working for southeast electric on that brand new powerline last year?

I do remember a few years back Arctic Cat had a commercial with Amish guys on 4-wheelers, lol. No I was working with Donovan Construction, doing some contracted work for Xcel Energy. We were just changing out a few sh!tty poles east of town. We had our equiptment parked in an Xcel substation southeast of town. But a few of us stayed at the Ortman Hotel in town, and we were definatly in the minority compared to all the Amish. Felt kinda weird walking thru the lobby with a case of Keystone Light with all the Amish eyes on me, haha. :beer;:beer;:beer;

I have family in Watertown and Kranzburg....graduated LATI -- diesel tech. Good school.

I grew up about 45 minutes east of h2o town. My grandparents live there, and brother graduated from LATI around 98. That town has really blown up the last five years or so.

Ya, some of those poles ran through our fields just east of canistota. I think it was about time for those to get replaced. You are not kidding abit about feeling like a minority in town either, I feel like one every time i go there haha.
