Anyone heard what Conditions are like up @ YANK'S PEAK?

Heard it was raining heavilly on the Likely side Monday the 17'th leaving an inch or better ice layer on everything buddies didn't bother to go up and came back to the puddle Just wondering if anybody was up top Monday or yesterday and if you know if it turned to snow higher up the mountain?

Unfortunately Three Ladies Cameron Ridge falls in the closure area what a shame to as it is such a beautifuly scenic and diverse riding area. The Government F!ck Head's who run this province better start realizing who's hard earned dollars pay these clowns salaries and the damage that the restriction of riding areas does to local business and economy we pay WAY to much in taxes to be told that we have to stay off our own susposed PUBLIC/CROWN Lands what a F#ck!ng Joke.

thanks, do you know of a map showing the closure area, Also wondering when the closure begins and ends?

I don't but the CO's around here put out some leaflits showing the closure area and I believe you can get them off the conservation website but from what I've seen any area to the east side of the Mathew River road falls within the closure and then it extends rite down to the road just past Maeford Lake effectively closing through traffic from the Likely/Cariboo Lake side as well as Wells/Barkerville. The Co's have even been ignorant to local sled retailers and buisnesses to the point of threatning them and to make any customers/fellow sledders know that they mean buisness on this and as far as length of this goes there is nothing declared other than it is CLOSED to any form of snowmobile traffic PERIOD. I figure F@ck it and them I'll go get my final ride in late May or June anyway as that is usually the only time we ride it anyway cause you can drive in there with the trucks as it's just to long of a road ride in the dead of winter to get in there and the susposed Mtn Cariboo that reside there should be down at lower elevations WELL AWAY from us DREDDED SLEDDERS.

in the past we have used a sleigh to get extra gas into maeford. I wonder What the local trappers, guide otfitters think of this. I know a few of them and bet that they still access this are via sled. To be honest I have ridden there in recent years un aware of the closure. I found a map onlinr and it looks like some of the drainages are still open but the map is very poor.

Was @ Yanks on Monday and it was excellent 1.5-2' of fresh with around 8-10' total counted five steps left showing at the cabin. As far as I know trappers or placer miners with a license are exempt from some if not all aspects of the closure and I agree that the maps put out are VERY poor in terms of detail but also basically heard that the CO's are putting the ownes on us and the fact that their mapping and signage is terribly poor doesn't matter as we should all be packing GPS's following their LAT/LONGtitude courdinants to a tee again F@ck Them.

I am staying with friends in likely this weekend, used to live there. prolly ride yanks one day for sure. Thanks for the info.
