Anyone have the 22L ABS Vario Avy Backpack

New to this forum and hope that I am posting this in the right spot! I have been reading all the threads on here of Snowpulse VS ABS and have decided on the ABS. After doing all my research I was going to buy my bf the new 18L Vario because it is light weight......but found a place in town where they have last years 22L for a decent deal. My question is....... WHY did they discontinue it? I have tried calling everyone and nobody has any answers for me.... Also wondering how much it weighs with or without cannister. I cant find any specs on it at all and even the place selling it seems to not be very helpful. Any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated!!!

The 22L was made for sledders, so it does not have the snow board straps.
It was discontinued because the manufacturer increased the minium order.
A canister weighs 585 grams or 1.44 lbs. A Vario weighs 5.24 lbs. 22L = .86, lbs. 18L = 1.04, 15L =1.08 lbs. Happy shopping

With a vario you should just be able to unzip the cover and install any size you want!
