Anyone have experience with Goodyear Duratracs?

I'm looking to replace my BFG AT KOs. I'm running 295/75/16s.

I just got clued into these Duratracs from goodyear in a 285.

Has anyone run these tires? They seem pretty popular but I read a review from a diesel truck forum that claimed there is a noticeable sway/flex in the sidewall that comes with them even though they're E rated.

Any advice would be appreciated. They look like a good tire in between a mudder and AT.

Anyone? The feedback on Goodyears with the heavier trucks doesn't seem to be so good. Lots of swaying complaints....

There's a 140+ post thread on Dieselplace about them.

Just a warning though, there's some overly anal wingnuts on there, so take everything with a grain of salt.

Took the plunge

I ordered them last week, primarily for a snow tire so we will see. I read some good things about them. Suggestion if you read on them and see a guy with a "negative" comment check some of the other comments and see if there is a trend. I try to read into the threads more when looking for honest/accurate opinions.

I ordered my for a 07 Duramax 315-75-16 "e" rating. I believe narrow tires are better in snow and I also have heard guy lean toward a more all terrain rather than aggressive mud tire for snow/ice driving as well. Yes. they will get studded as well. I will post my opinions as soon as I have some miles under my belt. Good luck.

they are so new that its going to be hard to find someone that has alot of miles on them. i did see them for the first time in person a month ago. i must say they are very nice but i have had nothing but bad luck with goodyears on my titan. 22-25k miles a set is not good enough.

At work we just replaced all our 1 ton pickups (10 of them) with the good year duratracs after running the BFG's. So far all the guys like the tire a lot. They see a lot of off road use (oilfield) and highway driving. The most miles on a set we have are 5000 miles and they look as good as the day they were put on. We obliviously went with the load range E.

We have sold probably 10 sets of them so far and everybody seems to love them. My kid has them on his pickup and said they were great on the icy roads we had this past week. The most kms I have seen yet are 20,000 and they looked almost brand new. I used to hate Goodyear and swore I would never run them again but these are really changing my mind.

What I'd like to know is who has them on a diesel and pulls 10k with them? How have they held up and how is the reported sidewall flex?

Just baught a set for 08 f350 studded well let you know how they work out. I've always ben happy if I get 2 winters out of a set of studs.
