Anyone have a stock Nytro around SLC I can take for a ride?

Something is not quite right with mine but the dealership is telling me there's no issue. Before I take it back to them I would just like to try out someone else to be sure it really is a problem. If you've got a stock Nytro or know someone who does and you ride around Guardsman pass I would really appreciate it.

i was thinking of going for a ride on friday....perhaps snake creek or guardsman. I just put a new belt on my nytro the other day riding in colorado because it was getting worn out....snow was very deep and new belt was slipping like crazy....i ended up putting the old one back on after half hour of slipping and it went away. Strange because it was the exact same yamaha belt and it was clean. Anyway, give me a call and we can set up a ride....its gonna be awesome next few days sun with all that fresh pow. Ryan

Is belt slipping, or is track racheting? My Nytro WAS stock...last year... Check out track tension? Look at belt? Take a Scotch Brite pad to your clutch sheaves! A couple thoughts...

Scotch brite pads work great. also make sure that the sheve surfaces are free of any oils. Mix up a dish soap/water solution and clean them good, dawn works well and once rinsed and dry, buff them with a clean scotch brite pad. you can also fill up your sink with soapy water and scrub the belt. sometimes when they make the belts they have an oily or waxy feel to them. Good clutchwork is very important... It can make or break your day!

Good Luck!

I always find new belts to slip a bit unless heated up slowly and broken in before hammered especially in deep fluff. They can glaze over like my eyes on new years day. I'd clean the new belt sides and the cluthes like SS said. The get it warm before you wail on it.
