Control Box Tuning Tips Polaris Pro
Control boxes come pre-programmed for an aggressive rider using non-ethanol premium fuel with a 2 gallon race gas blend with 6-8.5 PSI at 5000 ft and up.
For the first 2 tanks of fuel change the pre-programmed numbers as follows and run at minimum boost.
Leave 3000 and 5000 numbers as set
Adjust: PSI Low window- L 50 M 50 H 40
Adjust: PSI High window- L 50 M 58 H 60
Tuning Tips- Note: all 2011 800 Polaris sleds have a 2 hour ECU brake in! Avoid major tuning adjustment until 2 hours have been achieved.
If sled lays down at full throttle adjust PSI High window, High Throttle position down 2 numbers at a time until Full Throttle in no longer rich.
If you are setting DET sensor at Mid Throttle position adjust PSI High window, Mid Throttle number up 2-3 numbers at a time until you have no DET codes, while still maintaining Mid Throttle drivability.
