Anyone get GMC parts? I need a Front axle assm. for my 07 2500 hd. Damn Strike!!

I have a new body style 07 GMC Sierra 2500 HD, and the damn front axle siezed up. GMC wont cover it under warranty and they cant get me the axle cause the company that makes them is on strike, and it doesnt look good any time soon.

Anyone have connections to get me the axle or know of any aftermarket companies that make axle assemblys for my truck?

Any help is very much appreciated!!

Sorry, can't help you.
But I will take this opportunity to ask why do we still have these unions?

Wish there was something i could do, the company that is on strike is only about 30 miles from me in Buffalo...Its been going on for over a month....
I agree tho, Gm should be covering it unless, Is it lifted or something?

Its lifted, which is why they wont cover it. I just want my Fk'n truck back!! enough is enough... Its been sittin at the dealership for over a month.

Fk'd up part about the whole thing was there is a recal on the front axle. some hose that if bent or somthing drains the lube out of the axle. I know thats what happened, but they are blaming the lift kit. makes no sense to me.

i had 2 go bad on my 01 2500hd 4x4 with a fabtech 6" lift with 35x17x12.5 procomps. on and they replaced them under warrenty. no ? asked. maybe your dealer. isnt a good 1.

They said that the fluid in the front axle drained out cause when the lift was installed, the fluid was drained. Which ist true. I'd like to see a front axle last 10K miles with no fluid at all. Trust me, I have tried everything, they dont give a fk what I care. I called around to 4-5 other dealers and they all agreed with my dealer. I dont care about the 3K to fix it. I just want it fixed. this dam STRIKE is BS!! I read that something like 30,000 employees for GM have been put out of work until this strike is finished and a deal is done. also something like 6 plants have been shut down all thanks to AMERICAN AXLE company.

buy a ford.. lol. yeah my bud owns a ford dealership. he tells me that all the time. just the fact that when I drive off the lot, its only worth 10% of what I paid for it.

ok. so instead of paying 50K for the truck, I pay 40K. saves me money right. Maybe i am missing your point here.

but...

buy a ford. pay 50K, drive away and its worth 25K on ebay. realistically.

buy a chevy. pay 50K, drive away and it worth 40-45K on ebay.

Dude I feel your pain, I got an 06 classic body style and I put a leveling kit on it to clear some 33s and I have had 4wd issues since day one so i finaly took it in this winter and they blamed the leveling kit. GM makes a "snow plow kit" which is esentially the same thing as what I got except my kit is alot stronger and nicer than theirs. I hate gm and their service departments. If I could go back to the day I baught my truck I would of went next door to the dodge dealership. My dad hasnt had any problems with his.

I've heard of (and owned one even) more than a few GM pickups that have had front end problems due to having the torsion bars cranked ...

Even if you "do it right" and put a longer shocks on the front so you aren't 'topping out' over the course of the life of the truck having the CV shafts at a higher angle wears them and axle seals out faster ...

With that said, I still have the bars on my 2500HD cranked just enough to clear 285's ...

Truck is still at a rake ... my 1500 I used to have, had the bars slightly cranked on it too ... truck was still at a rake, and I had all kinds of front end problems with it in the long run ...

But, dealers will find any nit-pick excuse they possibly can to void warranty ... sucks :(

Contact your state's attorney general, that's bull sh!t

BTW Dynatrac could probably hook you up, but not cheap.

I would go over the dealers head and call gm, it wouldn't hurt or to the place that put in the lift

My bud owns the shop that put the lift on. He is also the owner of the ford dealership. He offered to cover it, but its not his fault.

I just want the damn parts. If anyone has any connections to get me these parts. Buck up!! please.. I dont want to wait 6 months till the strike is over to get my truck fixed. I need it for work.
