Anyone ever take the CPAT test?

I gaurantee if you do it, you will come out needing one of the machines. It is the biggest money making scam there is in the medical world right now. I know about 15 people who have done this and evryone of them is now on the machine. I know of nobody who has done it that's been told they don't need it.

thanks for the input., but i do believe you are talking about the CPAP "continuous positive airway pressure"

The CPAT test i am refering to is the "Cadet Physical Aptitude Test" alot of firefighters and and police officers have to take it.

But back to The CPAP machines. they are not fun to have to have!

Exactly how I feel.

I was considering this since my dr. was "pushing" it then I backed away. That is when they turned up the preasure more than a car salesman that thought he had you on the fence. That made me realize that this potentially is a b/s deal and is totally appears to be money driven.

stair climb not bad. if nothing else, work on your cardio. Watching other people do it that is where they suffer. other than that if your pulling your sled out of getting stuck and such, no worries bout anything else.

You're absolutley right! Boy do I feel dumb now

well, they say practice by doing step ups 24 reps a minute with the 75lbs on. I have been having my 101LB wife jump on my back while i do the step ups. I can do over 100 (up,up,down, down being one rep)in about 3 min.

dude, no worries. but......you wife is 101?!.....joking man. my girl is 35 and the same weight and did that ****. like i said, just cardio. Look at the captins. you think they pass that every year? no. they say they will PT every day so they dont have to re-cert. if nothing else think bout this.....most stations have either gone to or are going to 2 days on, then 4 days off....you collect a few days her and there and thats a trip to revy! ( is revy still cool? living in AZ so not sure?)

Congrats on passing!! :)

At least you prepped and prepared, so yeah maybe the worrying was for nothing, but it did give you the resolve to buckle down and do this. Good job!! :face-icon-small-coo
