1 desk top and 2 lap tops now that have shown virus warnings while opening snowest. Anyone else having any problems. I think what ever it is got bedded in my desk top, the computer dud had to pack it off after an hour.

Anyone else? Any fixes? Thanks. EW

Same here. Everytime open Snowest the Webroot blocker takes it down. Hopefully the admins will get it fixed.

Heres the way to get the Admins attention.

First, "Quote" this post in a reply rather than just reading it so that it gets run in all of the following posts.

Second, Email all of the major advertisiers on SnoWest and tell them that their ad dollars are being wasted as the site is unwillingly hosting this virus... enough to the point where even google has caught it and they dont recommend going to this site.
(example, TracksUSA, teamsummit, holz, firstplace parts, cutler, SkiDoo, Polaris, Yamaha, etc etc....).... Loosing income will definately get the admin attention so that they can do the right thing.

PM or Email everyone you know on this site to do the same.

MAYBE...just maybe the admin can chime in on this thread instead of pulling it down.

i agree they need to chim in and let us know what going on

the admins of this site are not very good with maintaning things. Heck if they could have figured out how to use fusetalk, we would'nt have these issues. vbulletin is a pos.Hope everyone that voted for upgrading to vbulletin has the virus. rant over.

First off... virus detection doesnt mean JACK SQUAT when its your browser reporting it.

All it means is that someone (some greenie) reported this site as being infected with malware, virus, or whatever. It is then flagged and reported through the browser that this site has a virus.

So if your like me, firefox 3 (and other new browsers) said snowest was unsafe and had a virus. The reality is it doesn't, i changed my security settings to not report that stupid stuff and am doing just fine, like you will too.

What does vbulletin have to do with anything?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I haven't seen a single issue of this virus being on the actual forum pages (ie the /forum subdir). I haven't had a problem, so I'm basing this off what I've read, but it appears the virus is on the snowest.com CMS pages (ie the root dir). Entirely two different scripts...
