Anyone drive or own a 2008 WRX STI Subaru?

I really want one of these. Thinking about getting rid of my truck and its 10 mpg for a tree hugger super car, lol..

Any feedback?

My buddy had a 2006, thing was SCARY fast. it was completley modded, and really sick, so not exactly a direct comparison to a new stock one. be careful though, this is what can happen when you meet a boulder at 90....

basically the harnesses saved our lives....

sorry to go off topic...

ouch.. guess its a safe ride then.. I really like the looks of the new one. I cant belive how fast it is. 4.9 0-60 and 13.2 1/4 bone stock is like a porsche.

Best value for a performance car on the market...$40k for the performance of an $80k car.

I test drove one in the rain and grenaded the brakes on a freeway offramp from about 60mph...the saleswoman p!ssed her pants!!!

Got a friend that pulled up next to one the other day with a sticker that said "ha ha you got beat by a girl". Turns out he did...said he only saw her for about two seconds and she was gone. He's got a not so stock RSX and is quite embarassed.

buddy of mine had the non turbo version (sorry i'm not a car guy, don't know what all the little letters mean), now he want's to get the turbo'ed version...they sound scary fast

My brother's got one, and it's nuts. He put another 15K into it and it's never been beat. Nobody will race you if you have a viper, vette, porsche, or ferrari.
EVERYONE will race your STI because a lot of drivers think it's a neon with a fin.
SURPRISE! lol

I think they only get 25 mpg though from what I heard.

I drive a regular wagon and have driven a couple of the STis and I would tell you to go with the STi. If I wasn't trying to finish school which equals no new car , I would upgrade they are stupid fast handle good, get some of the best safety ratings and its funny to beat people with a station wagon.

Bingo most of the nonturboed pieps I know get 25 on the highway and 22/23 around town. Which isn't great but the allwheel drive is worth the trade IMO

my aunt has an impreza(sp) and it does great in the snow, prety much any allwheel drive will do good in the snow, get the 6 speed if at all possible and add a small turbo and it will scare you and get great mpg

Buddy of mine has a 2002 WRX non sti but with aftermarket intake, exhaust, lowering kit, and the best part a blowoff valve!!! Easily one of the best handeling cars I've ever drove and has a heck of a lot of gitty up...another friend bought an 06 STI but then gave it up due in insurance issues, and that thing was incredible...even more power and better handeling than the 02...just make sure not to mess to much with your boost, motors can get a lil angry if you turn it up to high ;)
