Anyone consider grinding boost specific cams?

In the auto world they grind cams specifically for turbo and supercharged engines. Has anyone considered this for sleds? It seems that there could be a great deal of potential power and ride-ability that could be gained by optimizing the valve timing and lift for a boosted application over cams that are optimized for natural aspiration. Just a thought.

This would be a good question to ask Dave at Powderlites.

you could probably grind the head cams but your going to loose a lot of bottom end hp and you would have to do some diffrent timing for sure i seriousely think you could change them and get more power i havnt seen it done yet i no you can get hot cams for them but there not for boost

Judging from some of the replies I must not have been very clear in my original question. I meant the cams that control the intake and exhaust valves, not the clutching. Also by "Grind" I mean fabricate an new cam, not modify the stock one. Sorry for the confusion.

all the replies I read seemed to be replying to the valve camshafts, and yes some have been doing it with the 4 cylinders I don,t know if they have tried any for the nytro.
