Anyone changed their XP steering post on their own?

Got an '08 XP of a friends with a seemingly bent steering post. What all is involved with swapping it? I see there are 2 housing clamps, and 2 bolts attaching the tie rods. Looks like that's it for fasteners, but how much plastic do you have to remove to get to the housings? Do you pull it out the top once it's detached?
