have been thinking about this since last year. i'm talking about the opening where the tierods go into the body. mine has always got at least 10 pounds of ice stuffed in it by the end of the day. spend a lot of time and money to loose weight and this is adding weight. have thought of maybe a plastic block off on each side with fingered openings for the steering linkages to go through. anyone done anything different?????

I did put plugs in the sway bar holes! :)

I like your thinking though, I'll try to contemplate a solution today while in the shop.

was looking at my buddies rev today and they are closed up with aluminum and have rubber boots on the tie rods. this seems like a good way to go, but instead of the aluminum would rather have plastic. never thought of plugging the swaybar holes but that an excellent idea!

LOL. Pluged mine also.:beer;

I have looked at all the snow too. Every time I stop I try to dig it out but as soon as you start to ride again I’m sure it fills right back up. That would be awesome to block it off. Someone could get rich!:cool:
