Anyone build custom racks?

I want to be able to carry snowshoes as well as my usual rescue gear, lunch and gas.

Snowboard and ski racks are either the wrong shape or too long for the snowshoes.

I thought about a rack that has room between the heat exchanger and a surface to mount the bags on for the snowshoes (kind of a double deck shelf unit with the shoes on long-ways) but don't know anyone who can get and bend up the aluminum or weld a tube rack up.

Any ideas?
