Anyone been to Encenada Mexico?

I went there on a cruise last year, The weather wasn't that great when we were there so it made the town look like an even bigger sh!thole. We did some "rhino" atv tour, it was allright (really dusty). On the atv tours you just caravan around on gravel roads for half the day. It was kinda cool because you get to see a little bit of the baja and see the terrain. Watch the movie "Dust to Glory" and you'll see what I mean, it starts in Encenada. The Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribean is birthed there as well.

You haven't even been there before....
Ensenada is great during the races.... Outside of that there really isn't much to do outside of eating tacos and stuff. The cruise ship takes you right into the heart of the city. A few shops and places to eat between the stop light and Ruiz ave. Night time is not a problem..... in the the area you'll be.

did a similar cruise a few years ago, There is this natural phenom, don't remeber the name, but its a blow hole on the ocean shoots water up and out like a fountain, was ok. Lots of lil shops to buy silver stuff in that is dirt cheap, If you drink or like the bars, hit up Papas and Beer, you will see flyers for it. Pretty fun lil cruise.

Make sure to go to the bar with the Baja mural on the side of it, can't remember what the name of it was. Don't take the fam with though being that its a whore house, cheap drinks there though.
Some really killer places to eat if you want to wander, and you don't have a vehicle to worry about. When I was in Encenada during Carnival three guys had their trucks broken into while parked in "secure" parking lots. Two more were broken into while we were on our dirtbike voyage to the south for a couple days.
Also, that Tacario (sp?) thats on the way out of town past the before mentioned bar is killer...

Our Senior Trip cruise stops there for a day in june. We heard you can rent fourwheelers for 25 bucks a day and ride the beaches??
there are no beaches, the coastline is all rocky right there.

They have a great wine tour, some of the worlds best vinyards and brewiers. Pretty cool, you go to 3 different ones, you get to ride in a bus with this crazy Mexican tour guide. Take the morning tour and you will be sleeping in the afternoon, after tacos of course.

when you get off the boat, take a taxi into town if you go....... we thought it would be nice to walk since the weather was nice, but you have to cross the river of piss and chit..... made my eyes water and just about threw up...

Are you confusing Ensanada, with the Phillipines? Old navy guys will remember crossing $hit river before hitting the adult amusement park that lies just beyond
I remember throwing money in that river and watching the kids jump in to get it!

Went on a horse ride in Encenada bout 10 years ago, the ride went up to a lookout that had a good view of the ocean. had a good time, but the trail boss was a little upset that i took my horse out af the single file line.
