thats real quaint cuz in 2o years your kids will singing songs to Allah enjoy the political correct world today for what it is ...lol

get goosebumbs when the American anthem is played? I still do...

I don't feel like it means what it used to. I just don't have that feeling, cause Im not happy where our country is and where it is going.
Hearing the anthem just makes me pissed off at our country, because our familys, friends, and vet's have worked so hard to make this country what it was and everyone is throwing it down the drain. :(

Can't wait for the movement to take it back.

what movement is this ..Homes ??:p;)

Much like a sermon, if delivered poorly it means very little.
But when performed with excellence it is truly "moving".

Exactly what I was going to say..

Prime example is when Rosanne Barr made a mockery of it!

Then you take someone that sings it with all there heart and with a convincing proud voice, really makes your hair on the neck stand up. We are losing a generation of people that can sing this song with such conviction. God help our country.

goose bumps for me too especially when any military are involved.....the fly by makes me nuts with patriotism.

Some other songs that also get my goose bumps going are:

2.) USMC hyme
3.) Battle Hyme of the Republic
4.) Fightin' Side of Me - Meryl Haggard
5.) Okie from Muskogee - Meryl Haggard

there is one song that I can remember the name of or ever who sings it but I think the name may be "Letters from Home". There's this one version is which they have voice overs of family members sending thier love and wishes to husbands, fathers, sons in uniform to stay safe..........makes me cry every time I hear it.

I love patriotic stuff. I even have an american flag decal on my toolbox.

Yes! I am trying my hardest to teach my son what it means.

I really hate it when somebody hacks it up though. I find that offensive, one would THINK that if you were chosen/honored to sing it in front of a crowd you would have practiced and not cooned it all up. Know what I mean?:mad:

You bet it does, we fly an Americian flag on our combines all harvest.

Have to remember to rememember all of my family that is serving/served and all of the others who are currently serving or served for this great country
