Anybody wrap their trailer?

I just bought a Featherlite enclosed trailer. 24' plus the v nose. Anybody do a complete wrap on a trailer this size and know what it cost? My Tundra is painted matte black and I want to have a trailer that matches the truck. Also the wrap will protect the trailer from the road chemicals and rock dings. I am not so good about washing my rig every time I use it. Didn't worry about the Mirage but this trailer is a bit more expensive and I want to take car of it better.

I talked to several different people about wraping a 32' tripple axle, and the cheepest I found was $5k.
I quickly lost interest.

5K. Holy crap was what I thought too. Figured less than half that. One of the biggest reasons to buy an aluminum trailer is that your don't HAVE to paint it to fight rust/corrosion. I don't want to paint and keep painting every few years. What state is Castlegar in?

I figured $1800 tops and wouldn't have batted an eye, Right!!!

There are some new easy to apply vinyl products done by 3M. I might get some in bulk and see what kind of results I can get.

Talk to Wes, he does Braap Wraps. He is in Colorado and I know he has wrapped sleds and trucks and I'm pretty sure he has done trailers. He's pretty good so he can do custom work for you. I think he operates out of his house so his overhead is likely very low.

i was looking at doing a wrap on my sled and found rolls of vinyl for relatively low cost.

I would bet a majority of the cost is eaten by the labor involved and not the materials. A sled is a piece of cake compared to a trailer. On a price note, I was quoted around $4500 for my gooseneck. 42' long and the price was only for the top half. The bottom half is sprayed with truck liner. With sled wraps going from $250-$350ish for most it's not hard to do the equation for the square footage of an enclosed. They do look sweet if you have a good design though.

Here is the 53' trailer we did for Bret Rasmussen. Not cheap, but they look sick!

This is what I do for a living. Everyone is always blown away at the cost.
You can do it yourself tho. Super-easy:face-icon-small-dis
Buy the 3M wrap vinyls in rolls and start wrappin'. $40-$60 per yard for the solids..
or buy a $25,000 printer, a $10,000 laminator, the required $5,000 computer program on the $2,000 computer and then figure out how to run them all...so you can print alll the fancy stuff like the Monster logos...
But remember to figure in your overhead, like your mortgage payment, the electricity, the gas, insurance, etc...
then add your labor at $50-$75 an hour depending on your skill and report back to us and let us know what it really cost in the end.:face-icon-small-win

Just for a reference everybody: vehicle wraps go for about $9-12 per square foot installed. You do the math on an enclosed trailer
