anybody running ported cylinder on turbo pro?

I have ported cylinders on a turbo pro 2011. Hard to compare since i havent tried anything else, but a buddy of mine that owns other polaris sleds with turbo. He said it didnt feel as responsive like a "stock". I am considering new cylinders, non ported.

The way to do porting for a turbo is different than a naturally aspirating 2-smoker. Basically you bring down your peak torque rpm with adjusted port timing on a turbo motor as apposed to raising it with a non turbo motor

I think that is the key here. Are you Porting or changing the port timing.

Most turbo guys are cutting the cylinders so the ports are a bit lower, changing the head to prevent detonation, but I know most of them do clean up the exhaust port to match the Y pipe/gasket.
