Anybody run twins on 800 cfi w/out race fuel??

Kicking around the idea of putting twins on a 800 cfi. But I don't want to deal with mixing fuels. I have talked to a couple guys and they say with the new 2010 head the compression is low enough that you don't need to run race gas. Can this be done with good results?

My advice is DONT DO IT. (the way you are talking) The only way to get the stock system to function with twins is being at a minimum of 8000ft on 91 with the 2010 head and it's still a dog compared to a properly setup single piper at that same functioning aspect.

Now if you really want outstanding performance then you run twins, with the correct compression for your riding areas and you run the exact correct fuel mix...the octane burn rate is absolutely critical with the 800cfi polaris and twins. Done right its' awesome...done wrong it's a sad ol' dog.

to get a twin setup to rip on your sled you need
the correct head
absolute dead on fuel mix
clutching
track

I concur. I would recommend Carls to port it also for the twins. And there's only 1 brand of twins I'd run. Other's have lost power. If you get the set-up (the entire set-up) from Carls, it will run very close to an 860 and smoke a good running 800. Call Chris Kasel and he will know what you need.
