It was a really good read. An EMP takes out all the electronics in the Country and a small community in North Carolina tries to survive the best they can.

never read it but I do know all about it ........didn't you see that Mythbusters episode where they had a localized EMP and drove the car thru it ??
Yah, I've read that cars make pretty good Farady cages because the tires ground the vehicle. A high altitude EMP would still take out large portions of the electrical grid and wipe out our electronic money supply. Anyway, it was a pretty good story. Gonna take a look at the "Patriot" next.
I'm in the mood for a good post apocalyptic book, don't really agree that an EMP would put us there in of itself but perhaps could trigger a chain of events which could lead us there...anyways

I read a book ahwile back along the same lines, 1 man and his pet wolf wander around town to town getting robbed and such then meets a lovely girl riding with her father on a moble traider wagon.
it sucked, I'd like to read something accurite writtin by someone who's been in the woods not just seen pictures of trees in their condo.
