Anybody listening to bubba the love sponge today?

He was talking to Tucker Carlson and they started to talk about whether he (bubba) would be back on sirius. Bubba then goes off on a full fledged tirade where he buries sirius corporate for some questionable personnel decisions (Martha Stewart, Jamie Foxx, Eminem, Chris Russo). They start talking about the numbers of calls they get during a day, and then the show got cut off, dead air for about a minute and they haven't been back yet.
P.S.- Brent just came over the phone and basically said that it has to do with "technical difficulties"

They claim it was their ISDN connection, but it sure seems funny that all 3 times they lost their connection, Bubba was on a rant about Sirius corporate. Brent's story about the internet and phone lines going down could be nothing more than a feeble attempt to smooth things over with the audience.
I was listening to the Howard replay at the time so I didnt hear when it happened, just flipped over later.
Gawd Sirius would be nuts not to sign these guys... I mean really, does ANYBODY listen to Russo? I did for ten minutes (had to give it a try) and I was ready to drive into a ditch. With Ferrall there Russo should jump off a bridge.

on the intern show they said it was some kind of construction mishap in the Tampa area that cut the lines or knocked something out. I didn't really hear what was being talked about when the live show went off, crawled out from under the truck and the intro was playing again. thought he mebbe got booted....lol.

that's what they said. mebbe Howard will mention it in the morning. we'll find out for sure tomorrow when Bubba is back on, if they did hit the switch on him, he'll be sure to say I would think....

There's no doubt they cut him off. He was saying some pretty brutal stuff about sirius. I honestly think Sirius is a sinking ship. I normally pay for it a year at a time but in january I'm switching to month to month. When the market closed yesterday their stock was at .17 a share. I think Bubba may be asking for more than they can afford after what they put out to get the big names that haven't brought many listeners. If the drop him they will lose alot of listeners. 8 million a year to Martha frickin Stewart. Give me a break, She doesn't have a fraction of the listeners bubba does
And that's the issue. They shelled out big bucks to big names that aren't radio people and don't draw a significant audience. If the numbers are right that Bubba tosses around on the air, or hints at, he's only getting in the 1.5 mil per year to run his whole show. No wonder they have to hammer the crap outta Bubba Raw, do a Bubbapalooza monthly and push the merchandise they do.
Planning on it, but not holding my breath.

lol...you guys are worse than the fan boards. check out btls.com, they put up pictures and video of the backhoe and the hole they dug that cut the ISDN lines. there are pics of the Verizon trucks and clean white hardhat clad suits checking out the damage. they did their morning show yesterday by a remote van from the FM station.

Bubba's a good chit....I love the Covino and Rich show too. It used to suck cuz they were both on at the same time, so most days i was listening to C&R. Now that they got moved a morning slot I'd listen to them first and catch Bubba's show. It's gonna suck if they are going to cut him.
It's kind of weird what sirius is doing forking out huge money to some guy's and not supporting some of the ones who give them listener's, I like Bubba
