anybody know what the snow is like in elkford corbin area

Better start snowing every where, the start of the sled season this year is on par with the markets, pretty much sucks!!!

Im designing a quad conversion kit for sleds so we can all ride early december this year in elkford cnp area. lol ya right this is friggin brutal, by the time there is enough snow to ride all my money will be gone to mods.

Rode in from Corbin today, road from town site has 3 to 6in of fresh on top of ice and rocks. Trail into Rain Guage in good shape but you can't get into the bowl. I was able to get into the back of Big Rock, the trail in was sweet but the bowl needs lots more snow.

rode elkford yesterday..staged at round prairie, trail in was pretty rough and rocky for about 4 km. after that there was alot more snow. trail smoothed out pretty nice. mear lake had about 3-4 feet of fresh powder.. still could be a lot better out there but still had a blast. the farther back i went the more snow there was...quite a few ppl riding out there. ill be goin back again next sunday or possibly this wed.

OK Heres a real report from Corbin townsite.....unloaded at the parking lot...2 to 3 inches of new on icey dirt....was scratchin the skies about half way in....5 miles or so then it got deeper...at rain gauge there was 8 inches of fresh on a packed trail base. Went up into raingauge up top a foot of fresh on a FOOT of base....so 2 ft total....thats it....had to be very careful and stay in the middle of the trails....I ride them in the summer so I know whats on them. Its an ugle start just like we all thought....there was actually more snow than I thought...we got to test our sleds for leaks ect but even by christmas there wont be much off trail riding that I can see....

I rode with rhdsupra yesterday, and yeah corbin had very little but elkford was a blast, there was way more snow out in the back country, over all good day of riding, considering I hadnt rode in about 5 years.
