anybody heard from the 2moto guys lately?

Man, seems like they have dropped off the earth... no demo rides listed on the calendar, haven't seem any return emails, keep getting voice mail and the websit is a ghost town. Hell even the moderators stopped posting! hope they aren't rolling up. i love the system and need them to stick around so I can keep buying stuff and riding the snobike.

come on 2moto, give us a sign! ;)

still kickin

i just talked to them a few days ago, they have been busy traveling around and promoting product, if youve called or emailed lately just be patient. my shop is a dealer for 2moto and i can usually get a reply pretty quick. whatcha need to know?

they're alive!!!

Thanks LEEE. I did hear from Bill today. Said he is out of the country and would get with me when he returns. I wanted to talk to him about setting up a demo ride with some of motox buddies so they could see for themselves all the fun I've been telling them about.

Also had a couple tech questions about adding their new hand brake option to my bike this year. I always seem to lose my brakes (not completely most of the time) about an hour into the ride. I thought it was a "bleeding" problem so after the first time it happened I went back and made sure the brake system was bubble-less. next ride, happened again. after messing with it, I think it has to do with ice/snow build up on around my brake pedal and linkage. really limits the stroke on the master cylinder so... figure a hand lever will fix that. Now I'd like to find a way to reduce the build up around the rotor and caliper. haha not really that big a deal to have great brakes off trail but i like to have on the trail in case someone actually stops in front of me.

Like this post isn't long enough... I'll continue. The other tech thing is I want to know about the new ski stabilizer fins they have. I'd like to talk to someone who has actually rode with them and see if they really work. everything about this kit is big money (except the hyfax) so... some opinion would be good. Hopefully this will fix the one really big problem I've had with this set up and that is hard packed trails! It damn near kills me. I've raced a few desert races and one of my old hondas did the honda hop in 5th WFO like most will but this is a whole new level. Been thinking about running my stabilizer in the winter to slow the bar snap. I've read the same comments from lots of guys so it isn't likely just my bike or the way i have my suspension setup... but that may have an affect on it. just need the tech experts to shed some light on it and maybe offer some advice out on a ride.
the deep pow thing won't get fixed without the turbo and thats out of my $ range. at least until i win the lottery! and when that happens you ALL get turbos for xmas! ;)

you guys in the boise area (or anywhere close) wanna get out on a ride together soon? drop me a call and lets take 'em out for a spin.

fins

both my skis, the wide and narrow have the new fins on them, i havent ridden without so i couldnt give you a fair comparison. today i rode some super hard snow- 2" if icy crust on top of sugar, and the bike tracks pretty darn well, im running a steering damper and i think that helps some too. hey ever done any riding around baker OR, i'd love to meet some of you Boise guys there, it'd be about halfway between. ive done a bit of dirt biking in the elkhorns and it seems like it could be awesome on the 2moto. im still fiddling with my rear suspension and would like to know how to set it up properly too, so lets hear some ideas. thanks guys! -leeee

I haven't riden in oregon but would like to. so far this winter isn't really that great so i'd vote for waiting until the snow is worth the drive. not sure how it is there, but around boise (mccall, trinities, west mtn, id. city...) its mostly bottomless and the avy danger is kinda high. not really great bike time, IMO. On my sled last time and again in the morning. getting tired of saying it, but truth is we could use more snow.

suspension set.... aaahhhhh that old chestnut. I really wish the guys with the most experience would short cut this but publishing some definative (sp?) info on this subject. If you want this kinda of stuff on dirt setup, you can find tons with a simple search... may i suggest this be posted on the 2moto website. that way we can all find it when needed... and it could be modified as we get smarter.

thanks for the heads up on the fins. how is it on ice or hard packed trails without any new snow. I like the trails just fine when there is a new layer or there is sluff on the side. just sucks when the trails are hard and/or beat up. you know how a sled darts with the skeg tracks on the snow? thats now a big deal if you have 2 skis and aren't balancing your ride... haha

still, probably help most just to spend more time on the bike...

see ya, H
