Anybody have their hood off right now that can check a wire color for me?

There is a two prong rubber trailer style plug that is by where the handlebar wires all plug to the main harness. It can go together either way. On the handlebar side, the wires are brown and black, on the main harness side the wires are red w/white stripe and solid orange. Can you tell me which way to plug it in?

Thank-you so much!!! I have to wonder if it even matters. I love how they have two completely different wires going together. Thanks again!!

I didn't look to see where the wires were headed but assume to the red emergency stop button and it could be plugged in either way.

Very possible, it does lead up to the left side controls. There is a white non-connected plug there that is labeled AC. Can I use that for my heated shield? I think the wires are brown and yellow.

I hate to admit it but I have been doing away with those connectors at that junction and wire looming all that stuff. I know that it may mess with my warranty but I can't deal with the ****ty wire routing on this thing. Not touching connectors to the coils or injectors or ones that may be needed to replace something but all bets are off on the other ****. I hate the fact that there about 8-10 unused plugs under that hood with absolutely no cap or cover to keep the weather out. Gonna get messy in spring when I really dig into that harness and I delete the **** that's not needed. Snow.

So, does anybody know if I can tap into that "AC PWR" plug for my heated shield? It's in the bundle where the handlebar wiring connects to the main harness. Thanks!

Yup, that's the connector for accessory power and it will run your face shield.

Rick!..... Would you know if that is "AC" power (sine wave) or "ACessory power" and DC after the Rectifier?

What's the one that is rumored to be tucked up in the headlight for? Eventually I'd like to power a GPS as well.

I too am looking for the spot to take power for a set of DC digital gauges and was also told not to use the DC power up plug as it is not fused. The fused DC power where does the end of this wire go or do I tie directly in behind the fuse for power.

Up under the headlight assembly you'll find a brown/white plug unused, that works well for shield plug. Kinda tough to find but its there.
