Anybody have an old seat laying around?

I want to build up my seat on my old 99'X and make it higher, but I need some seat foam to do it.

Can anyone help a brutha out?

Go to JoAnns fabric/craft store they usually have some. Get it harder than you think you should because it always feels softer when on. An electric turkey knife works great to cut it and a 5in grinder for shaping round smooth cornrs and stuff. Get some good contact cement to attach it if yor putting it on top of the original foam.

Nice advice, that sounds like it may work.

But, dont you need a closed cell foam otherwise the seat gains enormous weight when wet?

I assume all of our sled foam is closed cell, but I guess I am guessing.........

yeah, or you can just make sure you have a waterproof fabric to cover it.
